TPNAME:Bill Cowan
TPTITLE:Touch
TPABSTRACT:Touch is the primary sense for knowing what and where things are, at least for things within a metre. It is an extremely fast sense, so fast that modern software is unable to provide it with an adequate stimulus. I will describe the properties of touch, and explain the difficulty of providing real-time touch stimulation.
