Title : Isosurface stuffing and friends
Abstract:
Many types of physical simulations depend on the existence of volumetric spatial subdivisions of shapes into tetrahedra or polyhedra, which gives rise to the problem of mesh generation. One very efficient and reasonably high-quality mesh generation strategy is called "Isosurface Stuffing", by Labelle and Shewchuk. I'll summarize the algorithm at a high-level, and discuss some related ideas and improvements that others have proposed.
