However, polynomialsolutions are usually not used, since they often create terriblesurfaces. The Least is a multivariate polynomial interpolation methoddevised by de Boor and Ron that has much better shape properties.In this talk, I will review the polynomial Least, and I will explorewhy the Least (usually) creates polynomials with good shape.
