Creating the Minutes

This form will create minutes for the CGL meeting. It will use the data created for the agenda; the main things you need to do are If you use this form, you will likely want to open a second browser window and repeatedly open the minutes for the week.html.

When done filling in the fields on the form, press the "Create Minutes" button at the bottom to generate a new Coming.html file. After pressing the "Create Minutes" button, use your browser's Back button to get back to this form, otherwise the information you entered will be lost.

Technical Presentation

Ask the person that is supposed to be tech presenter for an abstract (this also serves as a reminder to him/her). Give them enough warning - anything less than 48 hours is probably not enough as the presenter may want to prepare overheads, etc. Include the abstract in the agenda.

Conferences and Special Journal Issues

If you know of no new conferences, then you don't need to do anything here. However, if you have learned of a new conference, do the following to modify the list of upcoming conferences using the

addconference

webpage.

If something should go wrong with the process, you may need to edit the file /p/WebTree3/Conferences/upcoming.xml and then log into a CGL Linux machine (such as exhaust), cd to /p/WebTree3/Conferences/ and run the script ./make_upcoming-new.

BE NICE TO YOUR FELLOW LABMATES AND KEEP THIS UP TO DATE!
