I was in Ottawa on Canada's Day 1999, and so wandered down to the Parliament with a couple of ferrets...

Bear is my outdoor ferret, so he tends to go on more trips than the rest of them.

Last year, we discovered a great Park called the Pinery, so we took Bear there. It has a terrific sandy beach, and we went canoeing as well. These pictures are from August 2000. Everything is extra fun with a ferret.

Bear enjoying a swim in calmer waters. He didn't like the lake, but the canal we went canoeing in is pretty calm.

A closer shot of Bear. Note he's not wearing his leash. I'm not idiotic enough to take off his leash, the leash was carefully edited out in this and all the leashless pictures above. The powers of photo editing...
