Name: Firefly
Birthday: 15 July, 1994
Colour: sable
Crossing: 23 October, 1998

Firefly was my roommate Ina's ferret, sister to Birch, who died from liver cancer and complications from a hole in her intestine. She was a vicious little monster, a notorious thief. Cleaning out the underside of my bed just isn't the same without her. The little grump is still missed by all.

Name: Bobo
Crossing: Summer, 1991

Bobo was my dad's dog, but he got along with me better. He was a year younger than me. I was really scared of dogs when I was small, but really liked them. One day I tried to feed Bobo a piece of chicken and got very scared when he came towards me and I turned and ran headfirst into a cupboard, ending up with 8 stitches in my head. We became friends sometime after that though and I'll always have a scar to remember him by. He used to come and put his head on my lap and just stay there for hours. He's a guard dog, and a ratter, and he's bitten people on occasion. I remember one time I got him a ball and threw it for him, and when he brought it back I tried to take it from his mouth and he open his mouth and clamp it over my hand, but then he seem to realize something and didn't bite down. He felt terrible for the rest of the day and refused to look at me. Bobo was the sweetest dog I know. I think about him everyday.

Name: Silky

Silky was the first dog that was my own and not my family's. He was given to me by some cousins who were allergic to him. One of the challenges of Silky was that he wasn't terribly house trained, so I had to take a roll of toilet paper with me sometimes. But he was well trained in other respects, he knows he's not supposed to jump on my bed when my parents are around so he'll listen for them and remove himself from the furniture when they are about to open the door. He was a one man dog, and very protective. My older brother used to hit me on purpose so Silky would snap at him, but by the time Silky reacts I was already retaliating so he'll get me half the time. Silky sometimes follows me around by hanging onto my trousers with his teeth, and he'll growl at people who come near me. Silky also came with me when we went to the islands by boat, but he'll get seasick, so I always had to bring a bag for him. I left him with the people who gave him to me when I moved to Canada, and they gave him to someone else with dogs. I hope he had a good life.
