Chocolate Hazelnut (December 7, 1993) 6 egg yolks 1 cup sugar 6 oz bittersweet chocolate 1 cup half and half 2 cups table cream 1 tsp vanilla pinch of salt 1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts Beat egg yolks. Beat in sugar. Melt chocolate in a double boiler. Slowly whisk in half and half. Bring to near boil. Add chocolate to eggs. Cool. Add cream, vanilla, and salt. Freeze in ice cream maker. Just before frozen, add nuts I thought this one was too sweet. Others loved it. Also, if I make this again, I will heat the half and half before adding to melted chocolate to avoid clumping.
