My friends Josephine and Jeff came for a visit at the end of
August. They stayed in the exclusive
Hotel Mann while in Amsterdam. After a couple of days
here, we took a train to Brussels, spent the afternoon there,
and then caught a train to Brugge, where we stayed another
day and a half.
Brussels
The city hall in Brussels was more impressive than a city hall
should be.
We also went to the Royal Palace, which was huge. Sorry, no
picture.
Brugge
Brugge is a pretty tourist town. There are
four windmills and four city
gates, although we only went to two of the city gates.
There is a large church and another building with a large tower.
The city is a canal city, and a bit prettier than Amsterdam in my
opinion.
