The island used to be the foreigner quarters, and has many of the foreign buildings. We walked along a business street, where vendors had plastic buckets of live fish, lobsters, and other sea life for sale (for eating).
Sunlight rock is the highest point. At 93 meters above sea level, it's an easy stair climb. It was very hot when we were in Xiamen, and the rock/stairs are exposed, so it's not the nicest climb, and the top was very crowded.
There is also a statue of a hero-pirate who kicked out the Dutch.
