Once the eclipse became close to full, however, the original exposure settings didn't give a true representation of what I saw. So I increased the exposure (the second row) to get a more true picture of what I saw. My camera still wasn't up to the task, however: the fully eclipsed moon I saw was redder than it appears in these images.
The last picture show the two "stars" that were near the moon, one being Regulus and the other being Saturn.

Originally I was shooting from a monopod, but when I increased the exposure, I switched to a tripod and a 2 second delay. The blurry pictures are the ones shot from the monopod with the longer exposure time, although it's clear that while my camera can shoot reasonable images of the moon in full light, it's not good enough to shoot nice pictures of the fully eclipsed moon.
