Spencer Gorge
Up
In October, 2002, Blair, Marryat, Mei and I went to Spencer Gorge in
the hopes of seeing the fall colours. The leaves were partially
changed (perhaps a week later would have been a better choice), but
the two water falls and the walk along the Niagara Escapment is worth
the visit any time the weather permits. Webster Falls
I briefly stopped by in April 2003 to see if the water level was
higher; here's what the falls looked like at that time, with a picture
from October 2002 for comparison.

And I even made a QuickTime movie (2.8MB).
Tews Falls
Mei and I had visited Spencer Gorge the previous year, and only saw
Tews Falls. We thought it was just a trickle then, but found there
was even less water this year.
The Escapment
We hiked to the cliffs of the escarpment that over look Dundas and came
back.

Other
The hike through the forest is nice, and the leaves had changed to give
a nice view. The pictures of the leaves would have been nice had the
sun been out, but then the falls pictures would have been worse.
