The best way of judging my research interests is to look at the list of theses and essays created by students I have supervised.

There are also a few themes that run through my research, themes that extend beyond the research of my students. I have put together short descriptions of a few.

By far the most painful aspect of doing research is being required, under pain of ostracism, to write grant applications. I suppose there's no reason why I should not get a little extra mileage out of this painful process by making them available for others to read. Here are the few I have created since I took on my new policy of truth in science, not shaded truth or selective truth, just the unvarnished truth replete with warts..
